3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration Requirements

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Users under 18 years of age require parental or guardian consent and supervision
• Each individual may maintain only one active account
• You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without authorization

3.2 Account Security

• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• We reserve the right to disable any account that violates these Terms or poses a security risk
• You may not transfer or share your account with any third party

4. Tutor Requirements & Responsibilities

• Background checks may be required for tutors working with students under 18
• Tutors must maintain current knowledge in their subject areas
• All credentials and qualifications must be truthfully represented

4.2 Professional Conduct

• Tutors must arrive punctually for all scheduled sessions
• Professional attire and behavior are required during sessions
• Tutors must maintain appropriate boundaries with students
• Quality of instruction must meet platform standards and expectations

4.3 Platform Policies

• Tutors may not solicit students for off-platform services
• All communication should occur through platform channels
• Tutors must respect student privacy and confidentiality
• Session content must be appropriate for the student's age and level

5. Student Responsibilities

5.1 Session Conduct

• Students must respect tutor time, expertise, and effort
• Appropriate behavior and language are required during sessions
• Parents/guardians are responsible for minors' conduct and supervision
• Any form of harassment or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated

5.2 Preparation & Requirements

• Students should be prepared with necessary materials and questions
• Technical requirements (internet connection, device, software) are the student's responsibility
• A quiet, distraction-free environment should be maintained during sessions
• Students should communicate learning goals and expectations clearly

5.3 Parental Responsibilities

For students under 18:

• Parents must create and manage the student account
• Parents are responsible for monitoring session content and progress
• Parents must provide consent for data collection and processing
• Parents are financially responsible for all charges

6. Booking & Payments

6.1 Session Booking

• Sessions must be scheduled through the platform's booking system
• Booking confirmation is subject to tutor availability
• Cancellation policies apply as specified during booking
• Rescheduling requires mutual agreement between student and tutor

6.2 Payment Terms

• Tutors receive payment minus platform commission (typically 15-25%)
• Payment schedules are detailed in the tutor dashboard
• Tax responsibilities belong to individual tutors
• Tutors must provide valid payment information for disbursements

6.4 Promotions and Discounts

• Promotional codes may not be combined with other offers
• We reserve the right to modify or cancel promotions at any time
• Discounts apply only to eligible services
• Abuse of promotional systems may result in account termination

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

7.1 Student Cancellations

• 24+ hours notice: Full refund or reschedule at no charge
• 4-24 hours notice: 50% refund or reschedule with fee
• Less than 4 hours notice: No refund, reschedule at full price
• No-show: No refund, session marked as completed

7.2 Tutor Cancellations

• Tutors must provide 24+ hours notice for cancellations
• Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension or termination
• Emergency cancellations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Tutors may be required to provide documentation for emergency cancellations

7.3 Refund Processing

• Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method
• Processing fees may not be refundable
• Disputed charges must be reported within 30 days

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Content

• All website content, logos, designs, software, and trademarks are our property
• Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works
• Limited personal, non-commercial use is permitted
• Unauthorized use may result in legal action

8.2 User Content

• Users retain ownership of materials they upload or create

• You guarantee you have rights to any content you share

Tutors who create and share educational materials:

• Retain ownership of original materials

9. Prohibited Activities

Users may not engage in any of the following activities:

• Share illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or inappropriate content
• Harass, intimidate, or discriminate against other users
• Attempt to circumvent payment systems or avoid fees
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access services
• Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access
• Violate intellectual property rights of others
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect or harvest user information without consent

10. Limitation of Liability

10.2 Liability Cap

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for affected services in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Academic performance, grades, or test results
• User interactions outside our platform
• Third-party services or content
• Force majeure events beyond our control

10.3 No Warranty

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• Services will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The platform is free of viruses or harmful components
• Content is accurate, complete, or reliable

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms or other policies
• Illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activities
• Non-payment of fees
• Platform abuse or misuse
• At our discretion for platform protection
• Inactivity for extended periods (typically 12+ months)

11.1 User Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using account settings. Termination does not relieve you of payment obligations for services already rendered.

• Outstanding payments become immediately due

• Your content may be removed from the platform
